POWERING PUERTO RICO’S YOUTH

OUR MISSION
La Tejedora (“The Weaver”) connects young social justice leaders working towards self-determination in Puerto Rico, creates the conditions to allow young diaspora Puerto Ricans to participate in de-colonization processes, and connects activists in the archipelago to a global movement against colonization.
OUR PILLARS
Fighting for Puerto Rico's climate future and the self determination and decolonization of our people.
-
We provide local youth activists, organizers, and social justice workers with tools to think creatively about their organizing efforts and broader social change strategies by way of fellowships, retreats, workshops, training and the creation of healing justice spaces.
-
We foster opportunities for meaningful alliances between youth-led organizations on the archipelago and organizations based in the diaspora and connect common visions and goals.
-
We create opportunities for young social justice leaders in Puerto Rico to connect with global anti-colonial movements across the Caribbean, Latin America and other parts of the world.
